Goldstone

Though not a stone--or gold! --this manufactured "gemstone material" is known by many names: "aventurine glass," stellaria, gold star glass, monkstone or monk's gold.

Modern goldstone can be created either with copper flecks or with other metallic compounds such as cobalt, manganese or chromium oxide. These are used in goldstones made using colours (respectively) such as purple, blue and green.

Called the stone of ambition, goldstone is thought to assist in attaining goals. Some consider goldstone to be a symbol of ingenuity, ambition, and drive. It believed to reduce tension, revitalize the wearer and encourage a positive attitude.

  • For All Resin Creations

Do not display where art gets direct sunlight or UV light. Even though the resin I use is UV stable and resistant, it is not a 100% guarantee. Yellowing and warping can still occur if left in the sun for long periods of time.

Wipe with a soft cloth or paper towel. You may use warm water and mild dish soap.

Do not put in the dishwasher.

    Ashtrays and Incense Holders

Do not let incense or smoking items sit directly on the piece. Incense sticks usually have a wooden end, and they are fine to use. Do not use Incense cones as they will burn the resin. When using the ashtray, do not allow the smoking item to sit with the burning end directly on the resin. This will cause burn marks and can destroy the ashtray.

For all Food related Resin Creations

Epoxy resin is not suitable for hot food, use cold food only and always place a lining under the food unless wrapped. You can use, doilies, baking paper, foil or anything food safe.
